Sep 9, 2010 - @ns88ster It won't be... You don't have the balls or the skills to work on construction of this scale.

Laclaustra Says:

Sep 6, 2010 - Is my understanding that the conditions where windy that they and the operator refused to lift the load, he was fired and the superintend took control of the crane. The sad part is not the delay, material cost or time lost is the Loss of life (which in invaluable). As an engineer is sad that the supervision put the project before the safety of its employees, God knows how many Incidents and recordables this job had (if this attitude was widespread and/ or enforced on the project)

nbachmann Says:

Sep 4, 2010 - @marquistadorousss Engineer fail.Actually not, the original engineer overseeing the crane was fired because he wouldn't allow lifts in high winds. Mitsubishi (contractor running the crane) found a "Yes man" to take his place, and he approved this lift despite the unsafe wind conditions. What resulted was the largest punitive damages for construction in US history.
